They are good with communication and they’ve been informative. My father had a regular bathroom with a shower curtain or a double door, actually, that opens up, and one bed and a nice window. He had his own TV, a dresser, and a little closet. They switched him to a double room, but I haven’t seen the double room after he tested negative for COVID. I saw the dining room, which was on his floor for the short-term rehab, which had beautiful, big windows. The most gorgeous view, like a multimillion dollar view of the Henry Hudson River.
When my husband would leave the hospital, he would go to Beth Abraham. It appeared to me to be quite efficient, and it looked pretty good to me. It looked like he would have better care there. The patients didn’t look nostalgic, and they had more activities. The patients were involved in something like games. They didn’t seemed to me to be just drugged in and sitting there.
He showed us around, gave great advice about the health care field, and was very hands on when teaching us CPR. My experience was great, thanks to everyone at the facility. I would definitely recommend St. Vincent De Paul to family, patients, students, or future employees.
